Does GW require official score reports? ›

Students must have AP score reports sent directly from the College Board to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. International Baccalaureate (IB)—GW typically awards 6 to 8 credits for scores of 6 or 7 on the higher-level examinations.

Official transcripts are issued in portrait format and contain the seal of the university and the signature of the University Registrar. Unofficial transcripts are available to current students via self-service from the Student Information System.

All admitted students are required to send final official transcripts showing all completed coursework. Scanned copies of transcripts uploaded with your online application are not considered official. Final transcripts should be sent as soon as your coursework and high school graduation are recorded on the transcript.

The transcript(s) must be sent in a sealed envelope or submitted electronically via Parchment to engineering@gwu.edu from the university directly.

Because we take a holistic approach to the application review process, we have no minimum GPA or SAT/ACT requirements for admission. However, admission to GW is competitive, and admitted students are typically strong academic students in their high school graduating class.

One of the most important aspects of verifying transcript legitimacy is the use of secure paper stock, which is specifically designed to prevent counterfeiting. This paper is embedded with security features such as watermarks, microprinting, and color-shifting ink, making it extremely difficult to replicate.

Most universities won't accept an unofficial transcript. There are numerous reasons for this, including that an unofficial transcript may be incomplete. It's also possible to forge an unofficial transcript. So at some point during the application and admission process, you'll need to supply an official document.

Your transcripts provide proof of past academic work and achievements, which can come in very handy when transferring.

What are the different delivery options for transcripts? 1. Mail - Normal delivery is through first class mail. Transcripts are produced one to three days after receiving your order. Allow another five to seven days for your transcript to be delivered via United State Postal Service.

Transcript delivery in PDF format is becoming increasingly common. However, you should confirm that the receiver will accept an electronic transcript before sending it in PDF format. It's also crucial that you confirm the correct email address to send the transcript.

The following grading system is used for undergraduate students: A, Excellent; B, Good; C, Satisfactory; D, Low Pass; F, Fail. Other grades that may be assigned are A−, B+, B−, C+, C−, D+, and D−, P, Pass; and NP, No Pass.

Former students and alumni who do not have access to GWeb should request official transcripts directly through Parchment Transcript Services. Students can select to have the official transcript sent via secure PDF, regular mail, or FedEx. Unofficial transcripts can be viewed through GWeb.

Print the "College Report" form. Take the form to the Registrar, Dean of Students, Academic Advisor, or designated office at your campus to have the form completed. GW must receive the form for your current or most recent school/institution where you were enrolled full time.

Please be aware: Score results must be from a test taken within the past two years. If self-reported scores are used at time of application review, official scores must be provided if the student is admitted and accepts their admission offer. Official test scores must be received directly from the testing organization.

Yes. Institutions generally require you to send your scores directly from the College Board and will not accept printouts or copies of your score reports or school transcripts that include your scores.

Please either self-report your scores through the Common Application, upload them via your Brown Applicant Portal or have official test scores sent directly to Brown. If you are applying Early Decision, testing must be completed by the last October test date to ensure receipt of scores.

We will consider self-reported scores listed on your Common Application testing section. We provide a form in your Admission Portal to self-report scores after you submit your application. We will not use scores received via email, fax, or postal service.
