Click the following for: Semester Registration Dates Spring Semester 2001: December 18, 2000 - May 21, 2001 General Registration Information Registering for courses through the Center for Professional Development is easy and can be done in real time through GWeb (online) at http://gweb.gwu.edu Students using GWeb registration will automatically be enrolled in their classes, and a schedule and invoice will be generated automatically. For in class (IC) sections, you may register on-line via GWeb from the opening day of that semesters registration to five business days before the start of the course. You may register for distance learning (DL) sections throughout the registration period for each semester (see above dates). PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO GWEB REGISTRATIONS The following information is required for registration by GWeb: Student ID
Summer Semester 2001: May 1, 2001 - August 27, 2001 (Tentative)
Fall Semester 2001: August 1, 2001 - January 16, 2002 (Tentative)
Your nine-digit Student Identification Number (usually your Social Security Number) is needed to register. For some students (who do not have a SSN at the time of admission), GW assigns a nine-digit identification number starting with a (@) symbol in the first digit position.
PIN
Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a six-digit number consisting of four digits representing your birth month and year, followed by the number 99. For example, if you were born in January 1976, your PIN would be 017699. Your PIN, together with the nine-digit Student Identification Number, creates a unique combination designed to ensure private access to your file. It is extremely important that these numbers be kept confidential. You are able to change your PIN by GWeb. You may also change it in person at the Office of the Registrar. Adequate identification is required to do so.
New Students
Students who did not register in the semester previous to the current one will need to call (202) 994-5000 and select the Quick Entry option (#6) before attempting to register by GWeb. Students should indicate that they are CPD students. This will get you properly established in GWs registration system.
International Students
New international students requiring a student visa should refer to http://gwired.gwu.edu/iso or call (202) 973-1150 for more details. For those not needing a student visa, use GWs GWeb Registration System and follow the instructions for New Students listed above. You will be assigned a student ID number. Use this ID for all official transactions with GW.
