🍕Why I Love Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
What I love most about this pepperoni roll up is the convenience factor. It is so easy to pop open a can of crescent roll dough, then just sprinkle the filling over top, roll it up, cut, and bake!
I also love that these disappear fast whenever I make them. Everyone loves this pepperoni roll recipe so much that I usually have to make more than one batch. I like to set them out and offer up a side of this tasty homemade pasta sauce for dipping.
Ingredients
Refrigerated crescent roll dough. I like to buy the crescent roll sheet if I can find it.
Salted butter, this is melted and brushed over top of the crescent roll dough to add flavor.
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Flour to dust the board the crescent roll dough will be rolled out on.
Pepperoni slices, we like this brand best.
Cooking spray, to coat the skillet.
🍽 Equipment
Small microwave safe bowl to melt the butter in.
Pastry brush to spread the butter over top of the crescent roll dough. I love these silicone brushes.
Cheese grater (if not using pre-shredded cheese).
Rolling pin, I like to use this wooden rolling pin.
Sharp knife to cut through the dough.
Cast iron skillet, (8-inch)
🔪 Instructions
Step 1:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Lay the crescent roll sheet out on a flat surface that has been dusted with a little bit of flour.

Step 2:
- Mix the garlic powder and melted butter together.
- Brush the butter mixture over top of crescent roll dough.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over dough surface.
- Layer pepperoni slices over top of mozzarella cheese.
Step 3:

- Bake the pepperoni rolls for 20-25 minutes or until browned. Let cool about 10 minutes before serving.
💭 Top Tips
- If using perforated crescent roll dough, be sure to pinch the seams together to prevent leakage.
- Use whole mozzarella cheese if you want more of a cheese pull.
📖 Variations
